Thank You One and All !!!

Time to begin to thank everyone concerned with Project Tents Haiti. First of all thank you to those of you who contributed to this cause to help the people of Haiti to be able to receive essential needs foot traffic on the sim was 10,027. On the Project Tents sim or in store kiosks an amazing 561,144 lindens or $2241.77 US was raised. This total does not include the donations which might have been made directly to the ShelterBox site or to Peace Train Charitable Trust either online to their Paypal or one of their in world kiosks. As a result of your generosity we will be able to help a minimum of 40 people to find shelter from the storms. A special thank you to all the hard working and altruistic people that spend their time and energy to help these people to help themselves come out of this devastation, whether there in Haiti or somewhere else in the world using their abilities to give of themselves.

There are many who must be mentioned that were directly involved in this particular project please let us know if by some error we have neglected to mention you here. Thank you to ShelterBox Communication Manager Alan Monroe for sharing stories and putting into perspective the work being done in Haiti. Thank you to Peace Train Charitable Trust, a (501 c3) Public Charity recognized , who will deliver all the collected donations to ShelterBox. Cotton Thorne, Siri Vita, and Gwenette Writer, who put together the bookend Grand Opening and Closing events featuring the music of GA-GO SL ver and Jean Munro. Thank you to artists Moeuhane Sandalwood and Ally Aeon and their art realism installation entitled “Condamnation: A Country between Devastation and Hope”.

Thank you to the creator of Project Tents, Miaa Rebane, whose inspiration after seeing a CNN report motivated a small group to do something big. Her tireless efforts,sleepless nights and personal monetary investment in the Project Tents sim made it all possible. Thank you to Kay Fairey who kept the group focused and on task and formed the liaison to Peace Train, who with Sora Tatham was able to bridge the language gap to bring in several Japanese designers. Thank you to Sequoia Nightfire, for her building and Terra forming of the Project Tents sim, all the tents, donation kiosks and event posters, and for keeping the blog updated. Thank you to M4rk3tt0 Bonetto for his photographic skills and landscaping prowess, managing the designated PT avatar Haiti Elan , signboards and scripting, Emma Portilo for her work in creation of the blog and publicity of the event, Herradurra Baar for Models Workshop publicity and press release, Gamp Lane for her work in contacting designers, CheerCoach4EJS Gymnast for her support and dance moves, BlackBarbie Bravin and Rodolphe Pfalz for the sim teleportation system, Wicca Merlin and Sabine Blackburn involved in the initial process which brought you this event.   3. What a great project. We were able to donate US $2100 to Shelterbox USA (after all the transfers from Lindens, to PayPal, to the Peace Train bank account). Thanks EVERYONE who helped, performed, donated, designed, built or bought things!
