Final Financial Notes

Hi team -
As is the case with these things, it takes a number of days for all the money handling to happen. I am happy to confirm with you all now that the donation of $2100 US was made on behalf of the Project Tents group to Shelterbox USA. A few notes:
- Total funds from the event (in-world donations and Pay Pal donations to Peace Train) were 2,061 dollars. That’s after the conversion from Lindens to US dollars and transfer to the Peace Train Pay Pal account, and then transfer to the Peace Train Suntrust account.
- Peace Train had a small reserve in the bank and we’ve rounded that figure up to US $2100.
I hope you will share this information with the folks involved in the work. And I hope you all realize that this is what it’s all about; tapping the good will and creativity of the virtual community, creating memorable experiences for those online, and providing real help to the people who need it most.
You have done that.
Now, you can picture 2 complete Shelterboxes on their way to people who’s lives have been shaken to the ground. Picture enough shelter for up to 20 people, with all the basics to help them take care of primary needs, being treated, as Alan told us, with the dignity all humans deserve.
